Volunteering
The ABC sale survives and thrives on its volunteers. Every year people from the church and the school spend hours getting everything ready for the sale and cleaning up afterwards. Without their donation of time, the sale would not exist. The community could not clear out their attics, basements, and closets; nor could they find the amazing bargains on items both wanted and needed. If you would like to help the school and community there are many ways to do so.
Pick up
Throughout May and June we will be making a few trips to pick up items or loads that are too large for the donor to bring in themselves. We will need trailers for hauling, vehicles to tow the trailers, drivers of the trailers, and a few extra people to help lift and carry. Please let us know if you would like to help join our pick-up crew! More hands make for lighter loads.
HELP
We will need a few volunteers to help assemble some shelves, carry and set up tables and signs, and other similar tasks. Please let us know if you can help with this!
On Sunday before the sale we will start clearing the church and setting up for the sale at 2 pm. Monday-Saturday we will begin at around 8 am and go through 7 or 8 pm. A few of the tasks needing done that week are listed below; ask for more specific details.

- Unload trucks, trailers, and cars of donations; clear out classrooms (Sunday through Tuesday)
- Sort donations by category (Sunday through Tuesday)
- Sort and fold clothing (Sunday through Tuesday)
- Arrange, organize, and display items on tables (Tuesday afternoon and later)
- Price items (Wednesday)
- Post signs on road (Wednesday evening/night)
- Keep things straightened up (Thursday through Saturday)
- Help bag and carry for customers (Thursday through Saturday)
- Put out food and clean up kitchen for volunteer meals (Sunday through Saturday)
- Clean up, pack unsold items in boxes and get ready for Sunday church (Saturday)
- Bring roadside signs in (Saturday morning)

Although one of our biggest needs during the sale is help with the sorting, there are ways you can help even if you don't have the hours to give. Contact us to provide:
- Tables -- we are always in need of more tables to hold the sale items
- Boxes -- we use them the Sunday before the sale to begin sorting
- Food -- we offer meals for our volunteers so they don't have to worry about being hungry
- Sale supplies -- tape, markers, zip ties, ziploc bags, other consumables used in prepping for the sale
